Chose to live Extraordinary! :)

the amazing thing about taking the train is how the personalities of people you barely even know become very apparent.
from the busy uptight business men to the carefree spontaneous ones. no matter how different these people are from each other. its pretty amazing how in that very moment, for a couple of minutes.. we're all the same. all on the same train, sitting on the same seats, heading to the same direction.
i guess life's pretty much just a train ride. we all start from the same point, but its the way we go through life the moment we get off the train.
to an optimist, its a new beginning.
to a pessimist, its another day to get by.
to a child, its a another day to play
to a priest, another day to preach
it doesn't really matter who you are or where you're from. every single day of your life is the same ordinary day. What makes it special is how you deal with it. Its always up to you to turn these ordinary days, EXTRAORDINARY.

Chose to live everyday of your life special.
it is, after all.. ALL UP TO YOU.

Good Night! :D

"Because when a heart breaks, it don't break even."

I never thought I'd feel so much hatred towards anyone.
BUT I hate myself even more for letting you break my heart.

Look up the sky, what do you see?

When I was 8 years old, my parents used to take my sister and I to the local park after church every Sunday afternoon. I vividly remember the smell of the freshly cut grass, the cool breeze blowing through my hair and the clear bright sky. My mom would usually buy us ice treats which my sister and I ate in one bite, my dad would push us on the swing and we would always beg him to swing us higher, while trying to reach out for the sun. We stayed  until the sun sets. One particular Sunday, we stayed until the moon was up and the stars bright.

As a kid, I never really took the time to actually look at the stars and marvel at its beauty. I've never seen anything so beautiful. I recall lying on the slide, my parents sitting on the bench and my sister on the swing. I never wanted to leave, it was all too perfect. "Could we sleep here tonight?" I uttered. My parents smiled and said "it's time to go".

I've never been to that park since.

Have you ever thought how underneath the very same moon and stars, billions of memories live? The first kiss underneath the big bright moon, every single wish upon a falling star and every promise made in the dark cold nights.

Every time I look up the sky, I get reminded of that 8 year old kid in the park. Every time I see those very same stars, I smile. Because not long ago, I was underneath it, in the one memory of my parents being together, in the one memory where I'm happiest.

Though, it's kinda ironic how your most blissful memory could also be your saddest, it's this kind of memory that matters most. Because despite all the sadness and hurt, underneath it all is love.

Look up the sky. what do you see?

Speaking of memories under the stars,
Check this GREAT short film from Tropfest Australia 2011! :)

My Perspective

there's something very powerful about writing.
it's where most of our thoughts come to life, were memories are relived, and where stories are told.
in every corner of life, a story is waiting to be known. may it be in a form of a song, a play, a book or a blog ;)
